Who am I?

My name is Diane Fischer. I've been teaching piano, guitar, voice, and ukulele in student's homes for 24 years and online for 4 years. I have a Bachelor's in Music as well as a degree from The Musician's Institute's Guitar Institute of Technology. I have played in several bands throughout the years covering many styles of music.

I began teaching piano, guitar, ukulele and voice lessons in 2000. Since then, I've been developing a teaching style that isn't boring. So many other students have come to me from other instructors feeling frustrated or uninspired. Often, their previous instructors want handed them a book of songs to learn that they never heard of or a boring exercise book. I believe my first step as an instructor is to get you interested. Interest is the foundation for developing your skills as a musician.

How do I get you interested and keep you engaged in learning with me? We learn songs that you enjoy. I use an app with thousands of songs. It has sheet music for all ages, levels, and musical tastes. Yes, it is possible to play a song at the first lesson. Why not learn the basics of music while learning your favorite songs? No note reading is required at first. You will develop that skill along the way along with a list of fun songs to play!
